Manny has been coaching boys and girls ages 6-16 in East Providence for 8 years.
Manny has been playing soccer since he was 4 in Portugal and still plays in an Over 40 men’s league today. He coached the Men’s Open at the Rhode Island Soccer Association. His favorite soccer teams are Sporting C.P. and the Portugal national football team.
He has a USSF National F license and YM8-10 certification, and his goal is to help young boys and girls to be ready for their next level of soccer. He is a firm believer in the EPYSA Dragon’s motto – Practice hard, play hard.
Ryan has been coaching in East Providence for over 10 years. Most recently, Ryan has coached the EP boys U8 Giants, a team that has been together for over 3 years. The Giants’ philosophy is to develop boys into young men with team building, accountability, and personal growth, through soccer. Over the past 20 years, Ryan has coached at many levels including middle school, high school, and college.
Ryan was the Connecticut State MVP in 1992 when Wethersfield High School won the State Championship. At the United States Coast Guard Academy, Ryan was a two-time captain and an All New England selection for ECAC Champions. He still plays in men’s leagues throughout MA, CT, and RI.
Lee has been coaching various sports in East Providence for the past five years. Most recently, he assisted coaching the EP boys U8 Giants, a team that has been together for over three years. The Giants’ philosophy is to develop boys into young men with team building, accountability, and personal growth through soccer.
Lee is an avid biker and runner, having participated in numerous triathlons, duathlons, road races and other long distance cycling events. He has developed a love for soccer as he has coached over the last several years.
In addition to coaching the 11 and under boys team, Tim leads the youth academy and is Director of Coaching for EPYSA. He is an East Providence native and began his playing career with the East Providence Merchants in 1994. He went on to play premier soccer with Bayside in 1996. Tim continued his playing career at East Providence Senior High School in 1998. He was selected 2nd Team All Division in 1999 and 1st Team All Division and 1st Team All State in 2000.
He went on to play college soccer at St. Joseph’s College in 2001 and finished his collegiate career at Rhode Island College in 2002 through 2004.
Meghan has been coaching various sports in East Providence for the past four years. Most recently, she coached the AYSO EP girls U10 recreational soccer team to an undefeated Fall season. She was named AYSO girls Coach of The Year for the Fall 2016 season. In addition to coaching soccer, Meghan has been assisting her husband coach youth baseball in the Rumford Little League since the spring of 2013.
Meghan played soccer and basketball in high school where she served as team captain for both squads for multiple years. Both her daughter and son play on EPYSA teams where they showcase their dedication, teamwork, and growth which she instilled in them at an early age and hopes to pass on to her players as well.

Zach Pereira has been involved in East Providence soccer since the age of 4 first as a player, then as a coach, and then as a coaching instructor. Zach has also served as a strength and conditioning for Bayside FC premier soccer.
Zach played collegiate soccer at Springfield College earning All-Conference and All New England honors. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and has been practicing as an orthopedic clinical specialist in Swansea, MA for the last seven years. Zach utilizes the Move2Perform analysis system on a regular basis in order to analyze an athlete’s risk of injury compared to their peers as well as their ability to move well functionally.
Zach brings a wealth of knowledge in sports performance and soccer development to our club. He is very passionate about soccer and strives to instill that passion for sport and wellness in his athletes. Zach has been a lifelong resident of East Providence, currently living in Rumford with his wife and three children, and is excited to help provide the ideal soccer program to the athletes of East Providence.
