In addition to coaching the U10 and U11 boys teams, Tim leads the youth academy and is Director of Coaching for EPYSA. He is an East Providence native and began his playing career with the East Providence Merchants in 1994. He went on to play premier soccer with Bayside in 1996. Tim continued his playing career at East Providence Senior High School in 1998. He was selected 2nd Team All Division in 1999 and 1st Team All Division and 1st Team All State in 2000.
He went on to play college soccer at St. Joseph’s College in 2001 and finished his collegiate career at Rhode Island College in 2002 through 2004.
Meghan has been coaching various sports in East Providence for the past four years. Most recently, she coached the AYSO EP girls U10 recreational soccer team to an undefeated Fall season. She was named AYSO girls Coach of The Year for the Fall 2016 season. In addition to coaching soccer, Meghan has been assisting her husband coach youth baseball in the Rumford Little League since the spring of 2013.
Meghan played soccer and basketball in high school where she served as team captain for both squads for multiple years. Both her daughter and son play on EPYSA teams where they showcase their dedication, teamwork and growth which she instilled in them at an early age and hopes to pass on to her players as well.
Ryan has been coaching in East Providence for over 10 years. Most recently, Ryan has coached the EP boys U8 Giants, a team that has been together for over 3 years. The Giants’ philosophy is to develop boys into young men with team building, accountability, and personal growth, through soccer. Over the past 20 years, Ryan has coached at many levels including middle school, high school, and college.
Ryan was the Connecticut State MVP in 1992 when Wethersfield High School won the State Championship. At the United States Coast Guard Academy, Ryan was a two-time captain and an All New England selection for ECAC Champions. He still plays in men’s leagues throughout MA, CT, and RI.
Lee has been coaching various sports in East Providence for the past five years. Most recently, he assisted coaching the EP boys U8 Giants, a team that has been together for over three years. The Giants’ philosophy is to develop boys into young men with team building, accountability, and personal growth through soccer.
Lee is an avid biker and runner, having participated in numerous triathlons, duathlons, road races and other long distance cycling events. He has developed a love for soccer as he has coached over the last several years.
Bob, EPYSA’s president, coaches both the boys U12 and U13 teams. He started coaching soccer with AYSO in 2007 when his older son played and returned a few years later to coach his younger son. He coached three teams – two for AYSO, and a team for a premier soccer club.
Bob’s passionate about soccer and coaching and loves to watch his players enjoying themselves and having a lot of fun while improving and having success on the field.
Pericles Vieira is an East Providence native. As a youth he played soccer for AYSO and LAZA. He is not only a graduate of East Providence High School but was also a member of the soccer team for all of three years. He enjoyed playing midfield, and his all time favorite player is Zineden Zidane.
Pericles began his coaching career with Bayside United (2012) and found out that he truly enjoyed it, especially developing the players. He was recruited to coach for the East Providence Oceaneers and knew that it would be a great opportunity to give back to the youth and the city he grew up in. He coached with his assistant coach Anthony Barrionette, the E.P. Oceaneers from 2013-2016, winning both titles in his final season, the Rhode Island Super Cup and the Super Liga Championship.
He is always telling the parents how grateful he is for their dedication because it starts with the parents. He has been fortunate to have the majority of same group of players throughout his Oceaneers seasons. He is passionate about the game and focuses on developing the players not only on the field but also as leaders in every aspect of their lives off the field.
Pericles is a Graduate of the University Of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Minors in Business Management and Portuguese. He is currently in the process of pursuing his Masters Degree in Management and is employed with one of the largest financial institutions in the United States. His favorite quote is “Talent will get you there, but character will keep you there.”
Manny has been coaching boys and girls ages 6-16 in East Providence for 8 years.
Manny has been playing soccer since he was 4 in Portugal and still plays in an Over 40 men’s league today. He coached the Men’s Open at the Rhode Island Soccer Association. His favorite soccer teams are Sporting C.P. and the Portugal national football team.
He has a USSF National F license and YM8-10 certification, and his goal is to help young boys and girls to be ready for their next level of soccer. He is a firm believer in the EPYSA Dragon’s motto – Practice hard, play hard.
Chris started playing the game of soccer at age of 5 years old for AYSO. Throughout the years, he moved from competitive travel to premier, winning multiple State Cups at the club level and then two premier state championships and reaching New England Regionals twice.
He is very energetic about helping teach the game of soccer to the youth of East Providence, helping EPYSA grow, and helping build the foundation in this city to watch the youth develop from club, middle school, and high school.
Chris has been a lifelong resident of East Providence, currently living in East Providence with his wife and three children, and is excited to be part of this great organization.
Playing Experience and Accomplishments
Jeremy has 7 years experience coaching youth soccer. Last year he was the assistant U16 & U19 coach at AYSO. He grew up playing for Burrillville-Glocester Youth Soccer Association and eventually played for Ponaganset High School.
Jeremy has a USSF National E license and is certified to coach Unified Sports.
